					<description><![CDATA[<p>Continuous measurement of particulate activities in all gaseous effluents<br />
The SA air monitoring station is designed to complement gamma radiation monitoring systems in environmental networks, where continuous monitoring of the volumetric activity is required.<br />
It combines beta &#38; gamma volumetric activity and spectrum measurement within the environment, using large sensors for a high sensitivity. The SA monitor is available in two SA200 &#38; SA210 versions. Both instruments can be part of a national or regional environment network, around nuclear power plants or facilities.<br />
The SA200 version is designed for high air flow rates. The SA210 version is available with different sets of battery pack modules and a low power pump with lower sampling rate, if monitoring without access to main supply is required. Thus in emergency conditions the station is able to measure and transmit data (satellite communication) during approximately 4 days.</p>

			<p>The SATURN ratemeter is available in 3 versions:</p>
<ul>
<li>SATURN I RTM-WM, designed to be wall mounted, by means of its supporting lugs</li>
<li>SATURN I RTM, designed to be installed inside a 19” rack 2U</li>
<li>SATURN II, alternative wall-mounting version designed to be compliant with “Good Manufacturing Practice” requirements: the ratemeter is installed inside a special housing that allows to fit also the detector (typically a GM-1 or a MERCURY GMP WR probe) when necessary, so that no external cable or connection is visible.</li>
</ul>
<p>The unit continuously acquires and processes data coming from the detector and compares results with user defined internally stored threshold parameters.</p>
<p>The ratemeter is equipped with LEDs, internal acoustic buzzer and relays, used to issue warnings related to failure, alarm or prealarm conditions.</p>

<p>Measurements, alarm/prealarm thresholds and operating parameters are stored into an internal, non-volatile memory. The user can set thresholds and parameters through an external keyboard; advanced parameters are password protected.</p>
<p>Each SATURN ratemeter can be connected to any of the following detectors:</p>

<li>Geiger detector MERCURY GMP WR</li>
<li>Neutron detector LUPIN</li>

An ALU alarm column is mounted on the top, providing luminous and acoustic warning signals related to the status of the mobile station: good functioning, pre-alarm and alarm. 			<p>The acquisition and control unit processes and displays the data coming from the electrometer. The unit allows to locally visualize the dose rate or the integrated dose values through a display, and indicates alarm, pre-alarm or bad functioning statuses through messages, built-in buzzer and LED signals. The alarm and pre-alarm threshold values, as well as the operational parameters and the measurement data, are saved in the internal memory. The user can set the parameters through the external keyboard or through the remote management software (if provided).</p>
<p>The standard configuration of NAUSICAA monitoring unit, suitable for indoor use, is composed by a table box 3U 63HP, which hosts the electronics modules, and the ion chamber directly installed on top of it. Wall mounting accessory and trolley kit are also available, as well as a IP54 enclosure.</p>
<p>It is possible to connect one or more units to a host PC (running 5700 sMON software) through Ethernet or serial communication.</p>

The low voltage power supply can be provided by the built-in rechargeable batteries, in case of remote measurements or should a power outage occur. The ZigBee Wireless device allows communication up to 1 km in open space or 100 m indoor. A GPS locator can be optionally installed.</p>

<p>Upon request, a GPS locator can be optionally installed in the PS-ZB.</p>
<p>Both the GM-1 and the MERCURY GMP WR detectors are managed by a SATURN ratemeter, connected through a dedicated cable; the ratemeter provides power supply, signal processing and data visualization. Each detector-ratemeter couple forms a monitoring unit, which can be connected in a network to a central host PC running 5700 sMON management software.</p>
<p>Special stand-alone version of GM-1 and MERCURY GMP WR detectors are available for direct connection to a host PC.</p>
